You don't know who King Sun is, so I'll leave that part alone.
You don't understand the purpose the MC served initially, so you have a skewed view of what they're trying to accomplish. I mean I wasn't there in the park jams, but I do think I know enough to understand.
The MC was the Master of Ceremony, he was there to hype up the crowd, and big up the DJ. Ultimately if the women in the audience didn't start to feel like some of the MCs were as cool, if not cooler than the DJs, then we wouldn't have gotten any of this. These dudes started digging the attention, and started talking more and more about themselves than the DJ.
It's funny, but some of y'all might need to just watch the movie "House Party". It's a more accurate depiction of the atmosphere that hip-hop was spawned from than say, 8 Mile.
You can say you don't care, and that's fine. But your favorite artists won't grow without any standout qualities. "Mic presence" isn't enough.
