Domestic or international

I wouldn't have normally went, but I just couldn't keep waiting on everybody else to live my life. It's a learning experience...

I go to the show alone often. It's during the day, or I have a Saturday alone & I wanna see something I hop in the car and go to the movies.

Ideally it's better to do these in a relationship but if you're single, how many of you

1. Go on international trips alone (not to be greeted by anyone you know in a country you're exploring)?

2. National trips?

3. Fancy restaurant?

4. Movies?

5. Bar?

6. Club (no girlfriends)?

1. I've travelled int'l alone. It was OK. Sometimes I just need to get out of town and enjoy my own company. It's been a few years since I've travelled alone, though.

2. I've never done this but have been looking into taking a short weekend trip alone somewhere. I just don't know where yet.

3. I did this once for lunch. I was in the area and I wanted to try it out and see what the fuss was about. Otherwise, I eat at restaurants alone here and there if I am already out and hungry.

All were to the Caribbean + cruising. I got tired of waiting for people to go with so I went alone. I planned on going to Paris alone but ended up going with friends a few years later.

I'm not a fan of movie theatres (until recently with the dine in theatres), so I rarely went to the movies with friends. I sure wouldn't have gone alone.

Bars/restaurants aren't a big deal to me. If I'm out and starving I'll stop anywhere to sit and eat, as long as it's not too crowded. I have my phone, a book, the large screen TV or people watching to keep me occupied.

For me, going to the club would be the hardest and the most uncomfortable.

I only go to the movies alone, I don't go to clubs or bars and I'm scared to travel by myself. This world we live in is mad.

1 - I can't see myself traveling to a foreign country alone AND not knowing anyone there. One or the other, not both conditions.
2 - plenty. Have driven to every corner of this country by myself.
3 - a few times, but work necessitates that more and more
4 - I don't know why I haven't gone to a movie by myself, but I could/should. I rarely go to the movies at all, though.
5 - only restaurant bars
6 - no, seems kind of desperate
7 - plays/concerts - a few by myself

I am shocked to see so many women in this thread go to the theaters by themselves. In all my years of going to the movies either with a date or by myself I'very only once seen a woman alone there. And let's just say she was, special.
