Someone like Jrue Holiday would’ve been perfect. Chris Paul would’ve been perfect.

I think the Heat wanted Jrue but the pricetag was rather steep.

All we need is someone who can give us 28 to 30 solid minutes at PG and then let Dragiç and Jimmy handle the ball in the 4th. I feel at their age Jimmy will thrive if he doesn't have to handle the ball as much and Goran will benefit from reduced minutes

Yeah, we’ll need to do better than we did in Game 4 in the next round. After Game 3 when it was apparent that we’re clearly the better roster, I basically skipped ahead and looked at our chances with the Bucks. And how we played in Game 4* might not cut it against Milwaukee. Turnovers, missing open 3s(Indy played good defense too). I still think we match up very well with Milwaukee, but we can’t have those shooting droughts. But man, this team has something special with our slashers and cutters. We got multiple guys who can get to the rim or find their own shots when the rhythm 3s aren’t falling. Man, if we had a consistent PG like a JRue Holiday type who can control the pace and really ramp up our half-court offense, then I’d take Miami against ANY team. We’d be headed to the finals if we even had a Fred Van Fleet type out there to help Dragic out. At this point, that’s our one flaw against the remaining opponents. Imagine if we had CP3 in this offense alongside Dragic. And with CP3s defensive prowess at the PG spot, we’d be a complete defensive and offensive team. I wasn’t high on trying to gun for CP3 last year, but looking at this roster, he would’ve been the perfect fit.

Miami tried to get Holiday and CP3. The price was too high. Both would have basically skyrocketed Miami into Finals contention for sure. At this point, Miami is relying on Bam to give them a bit more dominance and for Herro to continue showing he can play make.

They actually have a good problem so far: There are too many guys that can play.

That's 13 players that have played non-scrub minutes so far. With the * players as the closing lineup. They can't even use what is looking to be an all-time shooter in Duncan Robinson in the closing lineup because Spo wants maximum playmaking out there. That's how sick they are. I'm guessing Spo will change this vs Milwaukee, but right now they have a 13 man lineup which shoudn't be happening. Things are looking good for the Heat going into round 2.
