Just focus on strengthening the back and be back 10-15 games before playoffs start to brush off the rust...that's if Riley doesn't find a great deal for him at the deadline. We'll need him for the upper echelon teams in the East

Miami Heat News: Justise Winslow Still Ways Away From Returning to Court

The uncertain status of the Miami Heat’s Justise Winslow remained murky after the team’s head coach, Erik Spoelstra, indicated that the veteran’s continued recovery from injury remains ongoing.

Winslow has played in only one contest since Dec. 4 because of problems with his back. During that Jan. 8 contest against Indiana, he came off the bench but offered minimal contributions.

Due to the return of those back problems, Winslow has been kept out of the lineup ever since.

Originally, the diagnosis indicated that the issue was a strain, though an update noted that the injury was a bone bruise.

In the 10 games since Winslow was again sidelined, the Heat have split those contests with a 5-5 mark, though they have a 32-15 record on the year.

Prior to the back trouble, Winslow had previously been placed in concussion protocol after a hard hit during the Heat’s Nov. 5 loss at Denver.

For the season, Winslow has been limited to just 11 games, averaging 11.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. In those contests, the team has compiled a record of 7-4, but are hoping that Winslow gets back soon in order to bolster the team’s depth.

The Heat will next take the court on Saturday on the road against Orlando.

I don't know if the statistics support this but it almost seems to me that we give up a lot of offensive rebounds at times.

When We sent Hassan to the Blazers I knew it would impact us when it comes to rebounding but it seems like we had it under control earlier in the year. Last 4 games I keep seeing offensive rebounds by opposing teams at the worst possible moment

Meyers is either going to be a coach or a commentator when he’s done playing. Really good dude and breaks stuff down differently than other players do with more info than just the typical cliches

Meyers had a good game. Need that more consistently but that’s asking too much for him

:whoa:

Edit: He has an expiring contract which i could see value in but I cant think of anyone in our young core i'd be willing to part ways with just for cap-room. Maybe Dion since it's bound to happen but i dont think the salaries match. Unless...Riley packages a pick (I hope not) and that Ryan Anderson contract we stretched. I dont see what's in it for OKC, tho
