Trust me, the urge to bang is different in the MidWest and East Coast hoods.
A lot of the conditions are the same.

But lead in the water for EVERYBODY, collapsing schools, homelessness, or 8 deep in a rickety house on the verge of literally falling apart, streets that hadn't een repaired in over a decade, and resources being far away, plus winter coming makes shyt a whole lot different.

A lot of dudes wouldn't survive in East Cleveland or Chicago.

No doubt.

I used to live across from one of the most notorious hoods in Inglewood. This what it looks like on Google Street View:

Now compare this to some hoods in Philly, Baltimore or the Bronx. You L.A nikkas got it good.

I even made a thread about real estate in L.A hoods. Most of the houses in Nipsey's hood are going for 600K or more and the median wages in that area are like $30K which itself doesn't make sense to me, unless people bought and have been sitting on these houses since the 70s and 80s.

Cali nikkas really dont understand how nice some of their “hoods” look :dead:
Actually cali nikkas are fully aware SOME of their hoods look nice. However theres this idea that only LA has nice looking hoods. I see hoods down south and midwest, and even in NYC that look just as nice as hoods in inglewood, only difference is they dont have palm trees.

Some of them were legacy from the 1970s. Others are owned by absentee landlords.

you used to live in the bottoms?:ohhh:
Some people called it The Bottoms where we stayed but it wasn't really in the actual Bottoms. I had to cross the street to be in the legit Bottoms. My spot actually looked a lot worse than the pic I showed but the rep wasn't quite as bad. It was still a hot neighborhood though.

I was over on Century near the Blockbuster, which should date me cause that spot has been closed for a minute now. What year were you?

And you lived in South Central too? I stayed up near John Muir for a couple years.

early 2000s 95th and Figueroa
ha, we were circling each other in those neighborhoods. What year were you in high school? You ever playing at Darby? In the court or outside?

03-07 i went to Locke

i went to darby once and only stayed for like 20 minutes :mjlol:
Yeah, I'm sure i didn't know you but we probably waited in the same line at the 99 cent store or Wingstop or some shyt lol. (Randomly I ran into Reggie Bush's father - the biological one, not the one who raised him - at that Wingstop once. I think he lived somewhere near Hollywood Park.)

The outdoor pickup games at Darby were trash but so are blacktop games damn near everywhere in LA. I walked over to ball every afternoon I could though. On some nights when the gym wasn't being utilized for anything there would be really strong games of full-court fives indoors.
