Oh a 90s baby, that explains it. A lot of nikkas from my era are more about LOOKING tough and and using a representation(built by the people before them) to scare people but not actually be about what they preach. Which pretty much explains why white boys who take tae bo classes at the YMCA and beat the average "thug" in a street fight.

The Warriors was based on a fictional book of a fictional NYC. While Colors was based off real life Los Angeles. You are comparing one stylized fictional movie to one more grounded in reality.

I never understood the whole NY Bloods and Crips thing...alot of the gangs in LA are multi generational dating back to the 70's and late 60's...nikkas old ass uncles still be claiming those hoods...
