Even as a youngin i could never take NY or their "hoods" serious.

If this was really how NY was at its "crime peak" then shyt was sweet af.

Dirty blonde hair cacs walking around the hood looking like gay ass indians and WWE wrestlers :mjlol:

This is really what the "hood" of new york was like bacc in the day :dead:

bytch you the funniest dude on here :laff: :laff: :laff

I wish Hollywood wasn't politically correct for this movie. All the gangs, especially the Warriors(who in the book were an all black gang) were supposed to be black or hispanic.

You telling on yaself because back in the day, cats would judge areas by having their ear to the street...Not from Hollywood movies.

You must have forgotten that in the 80's the Cali image was Rock N Roll, Blondes and beaches.....Imagine me judging LA based on that perspective.
That's true, but the movie Colors really did have a cultural impact on people outside of LA who knew nothing about the gang culture.

When my dad first moved to LA he moved to the Jungle and was like "why everybody in red out here?:ohhh:"

He was coming from Philly and had no idea about that shyt.

But nobody looked at Warriors as a view of NY the way people looked at Colors like a view of LA.
