Victory Lap @ 10 is The Reasonable Doubt effect (became an undeniable classic some time later) and Life After Death effect (ignoring all the flaws and propping the album up due to artist sad/untimely death) all in one. Its a solid album but not Top 10
This is false…shyt was a classic the first time I heard it…go check the thread from when it dropped

That shyt was wack
Highest rated rap album ever and the best musically composed rap album from a pure objective angle. It is what it is :manny:

Like Stevie Wonder said, you can't name a better album (not talking about an album that you enjoy, talking about pure music quality here) because there is no better album :manny:

This is fukking terrible 🤣...

The Documentary isn't a Top 30 LA album, maybe not Top 40. I could easily argue it isn't even Game's best work...

Putting that album at #8 is beyond absurd...

They lowballed the fukk outta To Pimp A Butterfly. It's EASILY Top 5...

2001 is too high at #6 and has been overrated for years. It's not hard to put 10 LA drops over this...

So they've basically said All Eyez On Me is the only "LA 2Pac", to which I don't agree with, he was recording and filming his videos in LA as early as Strictly 4 My nikkaz. They should explain "why" they only giving 2Pac one LA album because while it's certainly ambiguous, you could argue he was in LA mode before All Eyez On Me, just without the Suge influence. Hell wasnt he filming Poetic Justic and Menace II Society around the times of Strictly 4 My nikkaz and Me Against The World?

2Pac had been in LA. I dont agree with this at all, All Eyez On Me deserves Top 10 but its not his best album and making it the only Pac album on here is wild dumb...

This is an LA Transplant's Top 100, or a guy surrounded by non-blacks. No way this guy is from LA and has a team of Black Angelenos...

@Don Jesus you know we bytch and talk our shyt and yall do these lists to inspire engagement anyway 🤣 so it's all good, come in here and talk your shyt and give us some insight...
Word. But this list is more about giving its due to old popular albums. Doesn't really affect TPAB's legacy which is viewed as one of the best albums in ANY genre. Last time I checked, it was literally #1 on all plateforms that take listeners votes into consideration, it even passed Radio head's ok computer :wow:

Victory Lap isn't even an acclaimed album...it's just a fan thing, just an individual fan that put it on that list :yeshrug:

but I agree, it's a 6/10 record.

Yeah tpab is cemented at this point, might be the only flawless album there is in rap, with MBDTF :manny:

Crazy to think the only perfect records hip hop had to offer came out in the 2010s, but at least now we have these masterpieces that can challenge the best albums of them other genres.

Reasonable Doubt was always a great album...not sure why you even making this comparison. Victory Lap has never been praised, and it ain't being revisited even with Nip's death. It's an above average album and nothing has changed.

Rhythm-al-ism > Doggystyle
Quik has definitely become the best in retrospect, specially with his influence on the new generation.
BBut the masses still know doggystyle a lot more than RAI. Doesn't mean its better, but popularity is important for these lists.

But yeah, RAI makes Doggystyle sounds like a mixtape tbh

I don't need the cacs to tell me what to think, I'm a former professional music producer and current music lecturer :manny:
The cacs ain't the only ones saying this is flawless, legendary artists and musicians say the same, people that know their stuff say the same. You not enjoying pure and flawless music doesn't make it bad, its your tastes. But this shyt remains flawless. It's ok to lack musical knowledge my man.
