Everyone who felt the need to attack him could've went into another thread or walked away, this forum has a big thing where we can all attack someone and then cry when the shoe is on the other foot. You keep comparing yourself to someone else but not everyone thinks like you, YOU make not care but he did and that's how he handled it. You are one poster, not the forum, you can say should and shouldn't but that's not how this works. Everyone handles their emotions differently. If you're really offended report it, if not move on. BUT if we're going to be here, TOGETHER, on a FORUM, THAT TALKS ABOUT BLACK ISSUES, IN A WHITE SOCIETY, then there should be NO ONE using the term as an insult.

Like....seriously. I was pissed and just heated man. I don't even know what happened to me to say that. I let my anger and frustration over all sorts of stuff transpire into just a bad outburst of negativity and seriously I would never even say something like that with any malice. I got kind of heated over some comments made about me and I honestly had so many positive convos with you.

If this changes my opinion of you, I wholeheartedly understand. I'm black. I'm African. I'm West Indian. I know the sting of racist words but honestly I...yeah. I'll end it here. if this digs a deeper hole with my relationship here...then seriously...that's cool. I was gonna take a break anyways just to contemplate on the greater meaning of my life and get my thoughts and life together. So for those of you that had issues with me...I'm gone.

I think black people in this country are under a tremendous amount of stress right now. We're questioning our own purpose in this struggle, wondering if what we are doing is even meaningful when we see these people in Missouri putting their lives on the line so that the senseless murder of Mike Brown doesn't go unanswered. I feel sick in my stomach from what's going on, a knot that has sat in my belly for days and won't go away. It's been difficult for me to sleep, due in no small part to me staying close to my computer and following these developments. Black people are angry, first and foremost. But I really feel that many of us (perhaps all?) are scared by the possibility that this is just another empty protest and that Mike Brown's death will be swept under the rug and we'll all return to the lie of equality and racial harmony that white America wants black people to swallow and accept. I just want to see justice for Mike Brown and I don't want these people in Missouri to give up until that happens. I will be shattered if that cop does not pay.
