Naw I don't think Houston wanted Simmons. Easy to say but Houston was looking to get some bread off the books.
Houston wanted draft picks(unprotected) and a young star with potential. They didn’t view Simmons as that. They were interested in Boston stars but Ainge didn’t want to come up off those draft picks. Houston jsut didn’t have a high interest in Simmons at all. None of the franchise who were starting over were interested in Simmons.

So he's allowed to enter the arena and sit on the bench but he can't get on the court.

While unvaccinated players from other teams can?

How does that make sense? :gucci:
Whats the logical reasoning? None of you bozos can give me one other than it's your employer and do as you are told bullshyt.

He would be tested TWICE before each game. Which is safer than unvaccinated fans entering untested. If you're gonna make a mandate, make one that makes logical sense.

Foh

It doesn’t make any sense. Once vaxxed folks was still catching it, the mandates should’ve been dropped, imo.

The Daily News obtained a memo sent to NBA teams ahead of the start of the season. The spirit of that memo? NBA teams do not have the option to pay to break the law. “Pursuant to the local orders set forth above, if a player is on an impacted team, unvaccinated, and does not have an approved bona fide medical or religious exemption (the determination of which will be made by the league office), he will not be allowed to enter their home arenas or practice facilities in these jurisdictions or participate in any games, practices, or other team activities conducted there,” the memo read. Kyrie Irving is allowed to practice at the Nets’ Training Facility in Industry City because New York City deemed the building a private office space, subject to vaccine requirements set by ownership, not The City.

This mandate foolishness is confusing

Man fukk this dumb ass mandate and all you corny ass sheep defending it.

shyt makes no fukking sense and it's nothing political optics

I'm 50/50 on it

One one hand the vaccine mandates are absolutely idiotic and shows Politicians have no idea how to run the country/state/city. And the sheep who act like this is ok annoys me

But on another hand, as a NBA player you signed a contract to basically do whatever they tell you to do. It's the same with a Nurse at a hospital. You can have your reasons on why you don't want to take the shot, but you signed up to obey company policy

You’re too stupid to understand the reasoning you idiot. Do you think someone drafted a law with the idea of screwing New York players in mind or maybe they crafted a law that that they thought was enforceable on NY residents? Stop trying to play lawyer on the internet you clown. And the reason no one was addressing that is because “fairness” is irrelevant here. A law was made that applies to all NYers, the fact that some random ass athletes don’t have to go by it is of no consequence. You think that any other New York private company was holding meetings in-person with unvaccinated out of state people during the pandemic? But the crafters were supposed to anticipate that Kyrie Irving would be the one New York State athlete to no get vaccinated after Covid shut down our city? nikka fukk outta here. Literally no one in the city is upset about the mandates anymore. We are 90 percent vaccinated - no one but people who like the Nets feel any type of way. No one is crying for Kyrie.

Aye I like the Nets and Kyrie a dummy for not getting the shot and should the Nets fail in this championship run YOU ARE DELUSIONAL IF YOU BELIEVE IT IS NOT AT LEAST 90% KYRIE IRVINGS FAULT

That said, I'm hoping Ben and KD can be the shot in the arm that this team needs
