Taking a picture of a restaurant and tagging the restaurant, is promotion. Posting an artist that nobody has heard of, is promotion. I know we’re in a brave new world with social media but help my slow ass understand how Kyrie’s tweeting about this movie and book, without comment, amounts to him promoting it. I’m not trying to be obtuse; I just don’t get it. Explain to me like I’m muthafukking 10 years old. Sure, I can see how it might raise some eyebrows and how it might be the basis for questioning him on what his motivations were in posting a link about the material. Further, I think it would be fair game since he put it out there to ask him to clarify what his beliefs are. I just think these conclusions that he’s adopting the opinions and content of the movie and book as his own seems like a massive leap without justification. Especially when he has spoken on it.



I’m as flabby as they come when it comes to social media. Hell, I just learned that I haven’t been streaming Nas’s albums properly. It’s possible I don’t understand the protocol around tweets and that it’s common knowledge if you post a link to something it means you agree with everything and you are actively encouraging others to accept everything as the truth too.

But then again Amazon got a muthafukking link for the book that’s free with a membership trial but I don’t hear anyone accusing them of “promoting” the book in the same way they’re doing Kyrie.

Edit: Jason Whitlock said the same thing about Amazon and now I feel slightly disgusted with myself
