Kyrie's been the MVP of the team. The only other player who could be considered is Horford. Brown's been nice but he ain't MVP of this squad.

Brown is under a rookie contract and the Cs have him until 2020 (assuming they exercise the team option to keep him in 2019/20). Then they can make a qualifying offer for him in 2020/21. And by that time, he (and Tatum) will be taking the reigns from Irving/Hayward/Horford. And that's how Stevens and Ainge want it to be.
Irving and Hayward will be 28 and 30 then and getting paid the max/superman again. Everyone can't be paid.

Well, Ainge and management will have some decisions to make but we're some time away from 2020.

And you guys are sounding like you haven't already seen Ainge make personnel decisions concerning contracts.

He has but that particular comment was phrased as if the Irving-Hayward-Horford core would stay intact while Tatum and Brown take charge and let the "old men" fall back.

Who's to say that can't happen? Who's to say it will? We don't know.

We gotta see what'll happen in the next 2-3 years.

My nikka, do you actually watch the games or do you just read box scores and stat averages?

Kyrie was the reason the Cs were able to take the lead and close out against the Warriors 2 nights ago. He scored 11 in the 4th quarter and played his ass off defensively.

Tonight, he led the Cs to a comeback victory against the Hawks and dropped 30.

He does so many things on both sides of the floor that can't be seen on stat sheets but you're a fukking fool if you can't see how he's elevated this team in every sense.

The fukk are you talking about?
Cut it out bro. I love Kyrie on the C’s but he has not been leading the team. He often gets frozen out on plays and he’s been on a shooting slump for quite some time. Tonight he played a phenomenal game and that is the kind of play I expect from him. He’s been doing his job defensively but he’s not a defensive stopper. He’s gonna be better for us than IT was and has better chemistry with Horford than IT did but he still needs to adjust to the team and it shows. Often he doesn’t know when to be aggressive and gets lost when having to play off the ball. He needs to take control of the game ala IT more often.

His numbers are worse this year than last year and the bench has often brought us back into games after our starting core gets us into a deficit. I’ve watched every game Kyrie ain’t the leader of the team it’s Horford and he’s more worthy of MVP than Kyrie is. Let’s keep it funky here.

Kyrie's a beast, I just don't understand the forced MVP push by the media. Curry, Bron, Kawhi, Harden, KD etc drop 30 against a tanking team & no one gives a fukk.

He's leading the best team in the NBA.

Typically the MVP award is about winning not stats.

Last year was just an abberation with Russ and the triple double.

Yeah yall nikkas keep saying that every time he has an off shooting night

"Yeah he went 4-16 and Bosron came back without him but he does so much more"

:mjlol:

My nikka how has he elevated the team when they win without him and finished first in the east last year?

Well this cog in a machine is about to lead his team to the best record in the NBA and a NBA Finals appearance while LeBron is sitting at home in June like the rest of us.

Have fun trying to explain that one away.
