One of the best documentaries I've ever seen on a musician. It's very personal and sheds light on some of the demons that Kurt faced throughout his. The pacing of it mixed with the cut scenes and audio tapes and journals really makes for a beautiful documentary. Recommend brehs who haven't seen it to check it

Nirvana changed the game overnight. Grunge gave us so many great voices like Kurt, Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder etc... Eddie the only one still alive. All those hair metal bands were salty as fukk for a long time. Kurt didn’t kill hair metal, the people were ready for something different. Not everyone was partying and having a good time. There was a lot of disenfranchised youth as well as adults waiting for someone to be their voice. That was Kurt, he never imagined it would get as big as it did.

Layne was an extremely weak man, in my opinion, he basically killed himself over his ex-heroin addict girlfriend who died from a heart attack due to drug abuse in 96. Then again I ain't surprised word was he practically worshipped Demri, perhaps he saw her as a source to be happy.

He was hooked on heroin long before she died though..

They couldn't tour because layne couldn't perform due to being fukked on dope..they had to cancel shows in 94 because of his abuse.



I think her death was an excuse to continue using heroin though..
