Your route of basically getting our money right, won't change our positioning in this country as a group.

Good luck with that. I don't think that war will look like what you expect it too. It would just be us being slaughtered like every other outnumbered, outgunned, out-trained group around the world.
Dr. Claud talked about his experience in the Korean War, how we couldn't beat them. Because of their mindset, they refused to be beaten and would fight to the last woman and child. Same in Nam. You can't enslave people like that. It's the mentality we need. With that mentality we can be out manned, out gunned, and it won't matter.
Vietnam/Korea/Iraq etc... were all actions that imo failed because of the Geneva convention protocols and for no other reason. If the USA was able to employ an iced earth policy then none of these insurgencies would be able to withstand it. In the event of civil disturbance like the one you are outlining, it would be all or nothing.

However, when your enemy has chemical, biological and nuclear weapons, 10 times the firearms (at least) 6 times the manpower controls 90 percent of the arable land and has a well established network with long standing militiae as well as many independent survivalist experts who have been training for a red dawn scenario for their entire lives, the question is how have our chances improved?
