Malcolm X wanted isolated land somewhere where Blacks could be left alone

MLK wanted integration and his movement indirectly led to the country being flooded with anti-black racists from all sorts of different backgrounds

Malcolm's stance made non Blacks uncomfortable and his religion made Christian blacks uncomfortable. This is why the media and general public favored MLK but let's face it, I respect his efforts/courage but MLK's philosophy is not fukking working and it never has.

The media and general public have only grown to like MLK in recent times. He was hated back then. Hence all of the attempted assassinations and the successful one.

Also post-Mecca Malcolm X was leaning more to MLK's side. Although X wasn't entirely gung-ho about integration, he left his seperationalist stance when he got back from Mecca.
