lol...yeah now you say that. You've been talking all cocky about how Obama is going to be a one-termer for the last couple of years. Now you're finally admitting you were wrong.

Its politics, things change. Romney has had trouble connecting with voters and he's paying for it. I think the election will be closer than a lot think and I wouldn't be shocked if obama lost but as of right now I don't see it happening. Problem?

No, I just like pointing out when people were wrong and I was right...that's all.

The Republicans should've had it in the bag this year with the economy being what it is (incumbents usually lose when unemployment is this high), but Obama got lucky with a couple Ws that ended up swinging his way.

1. Killing Osama

2. The Affordable Care act being declared constitutional

3. The Republicans picking a HORRIBLE candidate that nobody really likes, and that can't say much about Obama's healthcare plan since he had a similar one in his state. Plus he's a Mormon, and so rich that it's really easy to portray him as out of touch.

I won't say it's in the bag but unless Romney debates his ass off I don't like his chances.

Obama is going to slaughter Romney in the debates. Watch...it's going to be ugly and embarrassing. I've watched both of their debate styles. Romney has that Al Gore anti-swag, but he doesn't have the substance to make up for it. Obama is cool and calm and looks presidential in debates, plus he has a full 50-round clip of ammo to go at Romney with.

I understand how the electoral system works

but with numbers that close, I don't think it's fair to say things couldn't have easily gone the other way. it is easy to claim to have been confident in something after the fact though...
That's why I did not understand your point? The popular vote does not matter for the most part (it should)...you know that :stopitslime:

Romney is looking to lose Florida and Ohio...that pretty much makes it impossible for the guy to win.

Remember, Bush did "WIN" with Al Gore receiving more votes.

I'm using to popular vote to show that these elections came down to close margin. I understand the the popular vote doesn't ultimately matter, but it shows how the country was split overall

comparing electoral votes is more complicated, as winning one particular state can greatly effect the numbers. but even in those 'swing states' the numbers were pretty close

remember this all started with you saying that anyone that believed Bush would lose was "smoking dust". like thinking a single digit discrepancy couldn't have gone the other way, when less than half eligible voters get off their ass to vote, is the most outrageous idea out there

I kind of hope Obama loses the popular vote and wins electorally, just to see how right wingers would react. :troll:
