KRS ONE killing every verse on Survival Skiils Appreciation Thread

Sometimes I think KRS really goes over people's heads, some comments I've read are a little crazy , I understand it though cause sometimesit takes people a while with music so I can't hate on anybody for their opinion, hopeully they will appreciate more in time if they keep their mind open. I'll come back in here at some point and post some links to what I'm saying.

His lyrics have taken a nose dive since 98. My main problem with KRS was he was too much of quantity over quality. It worked from 87 to 97 but after that we have gotten a lot material that has been subpar for KRS's standards. I like how he has scaled back a little with albums last few yrs.

What are you talking about? He's dropped more albums than ever these last few years. Pretty much all of them good ones too.

I thought Buckshot was great on Survival Skills too by the way. And while Survival Skills was dope, it's probably still my least favorite of the last few albums KRS has dropped.

This, you'd be surprised at the quality of these works. I would say the overall quality of the stuff he's done in the last 4 years especially has been high especially since he's toned down his preachyness.

Yeah he seems more at ease with his position in Hip Hop.

Yeah, saying nobody raps better than KRS is simple minded and based in nostalgia and a denial of the lyrical advances the hip-hop scene has had in it's brief history. It's simply wrong

KRS is one of the few dudes out there that can make a song without one throw-away line. he's very good at putting any subject into rhyme/hip-hop form. and he makes it all look easy

Looking at KRS discography....Damn I need to step up my KRS collection. I just had the BDP record and showbiz record as the latest KRS albums in my KRS collection.

I guess he never stopped putting a gang of albums out in a small time frame. He must put everything he records out there
