Both are rather injury prone and have long term durability issues. I’d say KP though. Eventhough he’s been horrible defensively this season, he’s still been a overall better defensive player than Markkanen in his career.

Because of his injury history, they will more than likely take on some unwanted salaries in exchange for dealing him, but I think they can definitely get a first round pick in the deal. A 7 footer with his range is valued in the league these days.

Personally, I wouldn’t take on his contract unless Dallas added sweeteners into the deal as his situation reminds me of Blake Griffin. That contract is going to age terribly and all parties know it.

Kristaps isn't a bad piece but not at 30 million a year. That's superstar money for a guy that might be your third option.

To make matters worse he's injury prone AF and a liability on defense.

We've seen so many bad contracts moved recently, it shouldn't be hard to move Porzingis. The question is what are the Mavs gonna do with the cap space. They haven't been great attracting stars.
