As far as I'm concerned, once you're in jail your food is being paid for by taxes, which need to be spent efficiently, so you have to just deal with what's on the prison menu. I'm sure "god" will get over your diet not being kosher/halal/whatever enough.

I made the post about the specific plaintiff though. I said I support the lawsuit and requiring religious conditions met if possible.

But the thought of someone wanting to eat right not to piss of God after killing his parents and faking his death for fraud is a bit strange to me.

just a guess but I'd imagine the only thing he has left is his religion

that doesnt make any sense tho. in prison you dont get to choose your meal. you lose a lot of rights when you go to prison. prison is a fukked up system in this country but why the fukk should people of certain religions get special treatment? why should this double murderer get a better meal than a double murderer who is christian or muslim? god isnt real anyways.

I would say your rights actually increase as a prisoner.

If you are christian, jew, muslim, whatever they accommodate you. you can go pray with your priest, imam, rabbi. did you know that they also accommodate people with food allergies? shocking! I don't see it as special treatment. freedom of religion is important, you clearly don't understand the alternative.
