I talked about this in the "Prequel" thread. Hollywood thinks they are slick. They may be calling this a "Reboot" but in reality it's essentially a Prequel to the original King Kong story. Though the synompsis states it takes place in the 70's. The team exploring Skull Island is basically the first team to go before the filmmaking team with Ann goes. But instead of keeping it real they try to say (Oh no, this isn't a prequel or sequel, it's a whole new story that takes place in the 70's) making it after the original King Kong. With all that said, I was sold on the trailer. It has a "Predator/Jurassic Park" vibe to it. I hope Kong kills everyone, lol. I think the title should still have "KING" in it. LOL@ Sam, I can't knock the hustle but his agent must love him, does he ever turn down a role? lol. The cast is really on point.
