So if tigers can be killed by leopards, I think it will be more so of the durability of the neck area that determines this fight:

Asiatic lion vs Bengal tiger
So if bears get killed by pumas and tigers killed by leopards, and no lions killed by a smaller big cat as much, the mane should be a advantage.

If the bear latches on is a big if... cats are great at out maneuvering other animals. The bear has a long shot.My money's on the Bear even though the Lion got agility and a considerable amount of power. But if that Bear latches onto his neck and bites down.
