This man has been playing longer than I've been on this Earth (I'm 19) so I grew up with Kobe, he was my Jordan. It was always fun to see Kobe on a random week night on ESPN or a playoff game on TNT, NBC or ABC. Kobe just had that killer instinct, that drive that we all strive to have. One of a kind and we'll never see another.

Kobe, Peyton, Jeter, AI all retired, and Tiger is a shell of his former self. My childhood is taking a beating from Lucille

I just want Kobe to take care of my heart, as I left it with him.

Will I ever feel this way for another player? I doubt it. I probably won't. I won't.

It's been a great journey and I'm lucky and blessed to share this with all of you.

So many great memories. So many tears shed.

I just...cannot believe this.

I'm honored to have seen this man hoop for 20 seasons. But selfishly, it wasn't enough. It's not fair. I'm going to get through this but this will not be easy.
