The sweetest part of this moment for me as Laker and Kobe fan is Kobe going out on his own terms in all his glory in the way I REMEMBERED him.

After the Achilles, Broken Knee and Torn rotator cuff it felt like the game was being taken away from him unfairly. He was playing some of his best basketball in years prior to his MAJOR injuries.

This wasn't some gradual fall off and fade to black ala KG, pierce, VC, AI, GP, Ray Allen etc.

It was great to see him in that light. Pushing to the finish line. One of his greatest performances in his final game. His last memory on the court will be a triumphant one. No one can ever take that away from him and he earned all of it. Everything.

Thank you Mamba!

Yup. That's what made last night so beautiful.

The last image the world will have of Kobe Bryant playing basketball is him being at the peak of his powers.

60 points. 23 in the 4th. Leading his team from 10 down with 3 minutes to hit the go ahead basket with 30 seconds left.

That's as perfect a way to go out as a legend. Epic finale to an epic career.

He said he was going to get up, workout, and then go meet with his company. I bet the Mamba is still sleeping after all that run he got yesterday.

:mjcry:
Ive never been witness to a sporting event like this.
It was like watching a rocky movie. You could see how exhausted he was early in the 4th. And u knew he felt all those 20 years in his bones/joints:flabbynsick:
But those last 3 mins it was like the rocky theme went off in his head and he left it all on the court :wow:

I thought he was gonna die on the court man. I really thought he was going to collapse because he looked so tired in the 4th. He had nothing left he. He gave it every last fukking thing he had in his body :wow:

classic game. that was the perfect ending to kobe's career. still can't believe i won't see him play next year :mjcry:
Laker fans are gonna be real sad on opening day. I had to see opening day the last few years both in Baltimore with no squirrel dance by Ray Lewis to ring in the game, and for someone to be on the field at Yankee Stadium playing shortstop other than Derek Jeter, and had to see someone other than Mariano close out games for them :to:. Still feels wrong to not hear enter sandman playing over the intercom when the ninth inning starts and the Yankees have the lead. He tore his ACL a week before my last game I was able to attend in the Bronx :mjcry: It's not a good feeling after growing up watching these guys place my entire youth.

The game last night gonna change the narrative of Kobe in his twilight. That muthafukka ain't go quiet. That shyt was one of the nastiest, coldest muthafukkin performances I've seen. Defiance personified. That shyt was William Wallace screaming freedommmmmmmmmm! :damn: That shyt was Denzel yelling "King Kong ain't got shyt on me!" :damn: That shyt was Latifah setting it the fukk off, taking all them bullets...and still struggling. :wow: That shyt was Radio Raheem fighting for his life while them pigs choked him out. :wow: What a way to go out. What a fighter. What a champion. I was in awe, brehs. Still am. Still got the fukking chills. One of the greatest sports moments I've been lucky enough to witness.

So many mixed emotions, born and raised in LA,Even tho I rooted for clippers I was a Kobe Stan,I met him once in Marina Del Rey,he was with Vanessa walking out a parking lot,it was also my birthday cuz we were going to a restaurant there, and he autographed my shirt, and to have his last game also on my birthday, idk if it's the henny but I'm a bit tears eyed :mjcry:

I feel you man - I felt the same way when Jeter retired and his last game at Yankee stadium was on my Bday and he had that walk off hit to win the game! Have you moment homey - its a beautiful thang!
