I'm not trolling....I love Kobe's game, my favorite player in the last 15 years. What I am questioning is his decision-making ability....yes, even after 5 rings and multiple accolades. His decision making (on the basketball court) sometimes seems...questionable.

Is he immune to those type of questions due to his 5 rings?

No. He's always been questioned on that. But saying that he's been sabotaging games and is now trying to save the team after half the season has been wasted? GTFO.

Kobe moving to facilitator and running the offense out of the midpost. Nash being back in the lineup and providing consistent outside shooting. He's spotting up much more often. Earl Clark scoring on a consistent basis. Coaches finally getting the frontcourt rotation down and allowing Pau to play some in the post. Steve Blake coming in so Duhon can't ruin his stints. Jamison being used in different ways. Pace being slowed down.

Their defense is still trash. That hasn't changed and probably won't until Dwight gets better(not happening this year).

I doubt Kobe's shot distribution by quarter has changed since he took over as 1st option in '05.

:leon:

Ok....I could see that now. Just cause I started the thread, doesn't mean I'm completely sold on the theory (even if I made up the theory). I was wondering out loud to the coli.

10 minutes ago he was shooting the lakers into last place in the West...5 minutes ago he decides to pass and they win three out of their last 4.

and 20 minutes ago he was shooting them into a 5 game winning streak :youngsabo:

The team just isn't that good. It's no deeper meaning to it.

So he was taking different shots at different times than he has for the past 10-15 years? Bullshyt.

This team is just flawed.

Exxxxxxxxxactly

Yes, Kobe is openly sabotaging the Lakers so he can take all the credit for the Lakers having one of the worst records in the West. Who gives a fukk about a ring?

I would hate bein Kobe's teammate. Great player, no doubt, tho.

He'd be a terrible drug dealer.

You gonna have :troll: harder than this. Let @Bilz, @MikeBrownsJob or @ThugLife help you.

I'm not trolling. I feel what you're saying to an extent. But what I'm saying is this...

Kobe has always had that "close mouths don't get fed" personality, he's never been shy about vocalizing his discontent with various scenarios throughout the years. If Kobe wanted to, he could have certainly took it upon himself to convert into a facilitator earlier during the Laker free-fall, even if it failed the first few games...sticking with it.

I know...players weren't converting shots, certain players were hurt, coaching/system changes, and that's understandable.

Lakers failures aren't attributed to just one reason, I think we can agree on that. I just feel Kobe cause of his individual stellar offensive numbers, might not get put under the microscope, like the rest of the team has.

My question is this...Kobe didn't seem to be the least bit worried throughout all the losing, at least not with the same intensity of impatience he had when he was playing with Smush and demanded a trade.

Lakers stumbled out the gate and kept losing despite Kobe scoring 30 a game...his 30 wasn't translating to wins. However, Kobe waits until it's nearly mathematically improbable for LA to make the playoffs, before he decides to start sharing the ball and getting teammates involved.

Now he's looking heroic for putting the fire out, when he essentially helped the fire grow. If he continues to play this way they make the playoffs.

Pau and Dwight were sending subliminals his way when they were losing....there were times where they felt essentially ignored on offense.

No one wants to hustle back on D if they ain't eating on O.

Did he dig the whole deeper, in order to dig them out? Like he allegedly did in High School. I want your opinions.

here's the part i dont get...

you posted the excerpt from Phil's book and when Phil tried to confront Kobe he basically told Phil to fukk off for saying he was sabo-ing games. if he got that mad about it, what gives you this idea that he's doing it now?

I've been saying this shh all along. He deliberately caught a rape charge to lose endorsements, so he could come back and sell more merchandise. Oldest trick in the book. Remember when he was just hated for his game? He had a tough time moving those global gym all-stars.

Catch a white rabbit and turn that booty hole to a volcano, sink the market, come back with the same sheet rock and new nickname? Now he is the most recognizable basketball player in the world.

Someone get that :oldsabo: smiley up. :troll:

This the type of nygga to ban his daughter's from dating all the way up to Senior Prom, let them have that one night and become father of the year. No heath ledger.

Hook up some more excerpts from phils book seems pretty interesting

This time, in a strange twist, he’s being crucified for taking too few shots: only one, unbelievably enough, in the first half of Sunday’s game in Sacramento, which we lost by seventeen points, ruining, in all likelihood, any chance to win our division. He finished with eight points, his lowest total ever in a game in which he played at least forty minutes. The theory being tossed around is that Kobe, stung by criticism for his shot selection in recent games, decided to show the Lakers how stagnant the offense can become when he doesn’t assert himself. “I don’t know how we can forgive him,” one anonymous teammate was quoted as saying in today’s Times….Today at practice, Kobe went from player to player, shoving the article with the anonymous quote in their faces. I have rarely seen him that incensed. “Did you say this?” he demanded of each player. Later, during a team gathering, he pursued the interrogation. “Right here and right now,” he said, raising his voice, “I want to know who said this shyt.” Nobody said a word, until Karl finally broke the silence. “Obviously, Kobe, no one said it or no one wants to admit they said it,” Karl said. “You’ve just got to let it go now.” Karl and Kobe, who have become buddies, launched into a shouting match that I had to stop.

“Are you feeling like you’re going to come back next year?” Jeanie asked me. “Well, not if Kobe Bryant is on this team next year,” I told her. “He’s too complex a person. I don’t need this.”

“I asked Kobe today about Hamilton. The two played high school ball against each other in Pennsylvania. “I’ve been kicking his ass for ten years,” he said.”

“Finally it was Kobe’s turn. “You know how much I hate this f***ing offense,” Kobe said.

I think Kobe has just realized he needed to change his game up in order for them to have a chance at the playoffs. But i don't see Kobe being the facilitator from here on out. Maybe the rest of this season, but as soon as they go on a losing streak he gonna go right back to shooting.
