The Raptors were an expansion team when Mike was playing. As were teams like the Grizzlies.

Mike's highest point totals (sans this one) are from the 80s where scoring was at a high.

Dude's the best, you don't need to lie for him.

:mjpls:
nikka stop exaggerating grizzlies started in 95. 3 years before he retired the second time. he probably only played against them like 6 times in his career.

This type of shyt exposes Jordan stans as insecure fakkits. If you really think Jordan is the GOAT and Kobe ain't better, then there is no reason to make such ludicrous arguments.

Everyone in the NBA got to play against the Raptors that year. No one got close to 81. MJ played against teams with worse records in his career, he never scored 81. shyt Jordan took more shots than the 48 Kobe did against the Raptors and didn't get close to 81.

Just give Kobe his due for that game. He had the most impressive scoring performance captured on film in NBA history. PERIOD. That in itself doesn't make him better than Jordan. But don't try to diminish his accomplishment by arguing MJ's 69 in OT is better.

 All of the top scoring games were aberrations. I don't know why people act like they're a big deal. It's meaningless trivia like Mark Whiten's 4 home runs or Al Bundy's 4 touchdowns.

neither one of these game is impressive because they were both against lottery teams.

now mjs 65 points against the hall fame Celtics. you know larry and them. during one of his earliest season. was impressive.

did kobe ever score over sixty against the current or defending champions?

mj lost that game however

:why:

A month before the 81 point game Kobe dropped 62 in 3 quarters on a team that went to the finals that season.

to be fair. who the fukk was Kobe gonna pass to?

To put that shyt in even better perspective lets look at the FG% of the rest of the team during that game:

Smush Parker 45% (5 for 11)

Lamar Odom 14% (1 for 7)

Sasha Vujacic 20% (1 for 5)

Kwame Brown 20% (1 for 5)

Brian Cook 100% (1 for 1)

Chris Mihm 62% (5 for 8)

Luke Walton 0% (0 for 1)

Deaven George 0% (0 for 4)

So the rest of the Lakers shot a combined 32% from the field that game. :scusthov:

Why are you comparing Bryants best game against a Jordan game that isn't his best though? His 69 point performance isn't close to being his best game, sorry.

Jordan's 63 points in the playoffs in the Boston Garden against one of the best teams in NBA history is more impressive than his 69 point game or Kobe's 81, IMO. Coming off a broken foot, he drops 49 on them in game one and then follows it up with 63 in game two, averaging 43.7 per game in the series against the eventual champion Celtics.
