Its crazy, I can always say I " hated" Kobe for different reasons(Cockyness, #TeamShaq later #TeamBron, Jordan Mimickry, the Stan fukkery on **** and here)shyt I was Card Carrying for The Blazers in 00 and The Kings in 02.... But even saying that when I got the Alert my Heart just jumped to my Throat like "No Way, TMZ is just Bullshytting" but when other outlets confirmed it, I was just empty and down and out behind it all. This shyt makes me mad at myself for at least not recognizing what he had and what he brought to the Sport and Life in General but it is helping me refocus and look at the reality of My Life and what I want for myself and posts on The Coli helps a lot

The pressure for Bron to lead the Lakers to a championship now cannot even be measured. Dude got pressure from the heavens :francis:

:wow:

Lebron will never be considered better than Jordan.

Devil's Advocate:

Outside of 6-for-6 and points per game, why not? LeBron, by most any statistical measure, is even with or superior to MJ. The argument exists and if the right person makes it ... :manny:

Did you watch Jordan play? The man was a killer on the court, and he played in an era where they actually played defense. Lebron is on my mount Rushmore but let's stop the foolishness. Using statistics is not the best way to judge a player, because you can make stats say whatever you want them to. The only person close to Jordan was Kobe.

Edit: Stephen Jackson also shut it down when it came to the MJ vs Lebron debate in his opening salvo.

if kobe never tore his achilles, i believe he would have been a 23-25 ppg scorer up until he reitred.
He would have averaged more than that
He was putting up 27-6-6 and looked like he turned back the clock that year with some crazy dunks before going down with the achilees injury (thanks Dantoni:stopitslime:)
He would have easily averaged 25-27+ up until he retired in a Karl Malone esque way
His game would have aged very well as he is one of if not the most skilled basketball player of all time

One thing is for certain, my GOAT inspired so many. :wow: It is one of the small consolations in trying to cope with this tragedy. It's been almost a week now and a cry at least once a day, honestly I tear up as I post this. I never really idolized any celebrities but it was different with Kobe. He will always be my favorite player of my favorite sport and he played on my favorite team...My grandparents are the reason I am a Laker fan, learning the game watching it with them, and so many memories are attached to him with them as he was on the squad for 20 years. My grandapa passed before the last two titles they won and my Nana passed not too long after. This shyt hurts on levels man. :mjcry: edit:meant to post this in the main Kobe thread.
