I'll never forget the announcer (don't remember who that was...I swear he was a fill-in for that game...don't remember ever hearing him again on TNT) losing his shyt and just screaming after Kobe's put back dunk off Rice's miss in OT.

A lot of Lakers fans in NY. Just a lot of fans who either never fukked with the Knicks or gave up on them who started riding for Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, KD, etc., You just wanna see great players justify why you love basketball and Kobe did that for a lot of people around the world. Rooting for Kobe was a safe bet.
