Another Sunday and my dawg still gone...

smh, I gotta return as many books as I can before the shutdown happens. If anyone wants to cop the last copies of Mamba Mentality and/or two of his YA novels hmu.

I just came to post that the more I learn about Kobe, the more that realize that we didn’t deserve him. Even his fans/stans took him for granted. This motherfukka was way beyond any other NBA player or present day athlete in general. In the beginning the world forced him on us, and in 2003 the world told us to hate him forever, and a lot of people did. Stupid asses. We were robbed of his true greatness because of all evil reasons, jealousy, hate, ignorance, and downright stupidity. His greatness was muffled from day one, and even at the apex of his NBA career he still was muffled in order to “win” the “right way”. He was a, “maniacal a$$hole” yeah, but only to achieve greatness, not to destroy. I clapped when Marbury spoke on the fake love Kobe received, they hated our niqqa, but they respected our niqqa because they know that they couldn’t fukk with him, and they all were forced to “bow down”, before he died and even more after he died. And IMO he still didn’t get his just due. For all of his NBA achievements, something was always in Kobe’s way of showing his full potential. He was never able to stand alone and live, whether it was the MJ comparisons to the Shaq shyt show to the Achilles injury. Even when he won as #24, “it was only because of “this and that”, a narrative mainly used to diminish his achievements, a narrative that’s mainly reserved for him, and hardly for the other greats. Even in his death, he didn’t stand alone and receive his “just due”, he even sacrificed himself (coaching basketball) in his demise as he tragically died with others, whose lives were also was honored. Over his whole career he got shyt for whatever he did. Even in good times, the cast of negative shadows tried to loom large. We truly didn’t deserve our niqqa Kobe.

Ima read your full post later cuz I’m so short for time but I just had to say I never felt like we deserved him. That’s why I stanned and appreciated him so much. A true savant in his craft and a renaissance man but more than that he had so much passion for those things that he gave his all to it. Kobe was both a fan’s dream in terms of a showman going to all lengths to entertain as well as an inspiration to anyone wanting to tap into their deepest selves and make their dreams come true.

Us Kobe stans were lucky as fukk no cap. I’ll always appreciate him for everything. And I’ll honor him by being the best I can be.

If the Coronavirus Quarantine happened in January Kobe would still be here .... :wow:

more like if this country took it seriously in January. This shyt was popping off in China back in November. If we gave a fukk earlier then there would be no games at the Academy to go to :mjcry:

Exactly it’s trump & our government fault low key :mjcry:

shyt is wild how so much not connected shyt really is connected. Because Kobe’s situation could’ve been avoided easily and we all know that. But we see how this virus shyt even has the rich and famous falling back so there’s no way you are jumping in a helicopter when the state is on lockdown.

it fukking sucks breh. And this is the kinda shyt that could drive you crazy because any infinitely smaller thing could’ve kept breh off that chopper.

It's crazy how he survived that predicament and reinvented himself as 24 Kobe plus winning two more chips also....
