I know he was close to his sisters? so yea they probably should have been included. Idk. Its a tough deal. This stuff renders meaningless when actual lives are gone. So it just is what it is and just celebrate his life.

Y’all can say what y’all want but they was wrong for not giving his family some recognition and I glad they and Stephan a Smith is admitting this.

Leaving my stanish aside I know how it is to be shook to not go to a funeral/memorial. I usually ended up regretting it. Just tough for me. I try to make most of them now tho. However, yea this might be another pushback he's gotta deal with. But its whatever. People grieve differently...he just gotta prepare if folks react differently to him.

i loved how it was planned out, Vanessa's speech started off with Gigi and then moved to Kobe, and then the flow of the speakers followed suit. All of the first half of speakers were focused on Gigi and then we got the MJ, Shaq speeches towards the end

one minor thing - I wish they would've saved the Dr. Dre tribute for this event rather than all star weekend, this shyt to kick it off would've been unreal

Jim Jackson was wrong though kobe was still very close to his sisters. There are photos that showed even his daughters hanging out with their kids. He would post his nieces and nephew accomplishments on Instagram, his cousin he was very close to.

And you have to be a cold piece of work to do that.


I made sure to have a conversation with my son about paying attention to how the woman especially non Black woman you choose will affect your life and family. Because let’s be honest Vanessa was a Mexican woman with nothing and no verifiable skills that at the end of the day will walk away with an empire. His parents May never see his other kids again out just spite.
