There are people who literally have known this man for 20+ years in that organization that are bigger names to LA than him. We dont need to hear from Lebron.

LeBron got to give a speech for the first Lakers game since Kobe's passing and people are really making it a big deal that he didn't speak today or even be shown on camera. What the hell is wrong with some of you?

I imagine whatever issues they was dealing with was still raw... Right after he passed there was an article talking about he had just started reconnecting with his pops. I'm pretty sure they had something to say at the private ceremony. Getting up in front of 25,000 people who are probably all aware that you had a strained relationship with him, probably wasn't something they was on board with. I'm thinking they probably made their peace in private.

Yeah I guess that’s what it was. I suppose for those of us that knew about the situation it would’ve been beautiful to see his wife and his parents both speak. But it’s whatever, they don’t have to speak if they don’t want to.
