Where are you hearing the bolded from
Saw some white guy who witnessed the crash on the News last night. He said the copter was NOT flying fast before it hit the mountain. Other reports are saying it was going fast. I don't wanna speculate, but I don't think the pilot just flew straight into the mountain.

Aaliyah apparently had two massive heart attacks before her plane hit the ground. fukk I don’t wanna think about this tho.
Did aaliyahs plane crash into anything. I always assumed from everything said, that the plane went down in the regular manner of how most plane crashes occur when planes experience engine failure, not a instant death situation sadly

this shyt hitting me dumb hard because I'm in my mid 20's and started following the NBA heavily in Middle School so I ventured into the game right in Kobe's prime so to me this is the first true icon that I can say grew up with I can recall dying.

From what information we have it sounds like it was instantaneous death. They probably didn't see it coming.

Also, people who have had near death experiences talk about their experiences. Sometimes they say they see their angel, or angels come and escort them. Sometimes all they know is they are in Paradise. If you believe in the Lord, it won't be a bad experience, as far as the moment you leave this physical life for the spiritual. They say your senses and awareness becomes even more enhanced on the other side of this life.

I don't think we have to worry about those kids on that helicopter. God is merciful, and kids are dear to Him. Hopefully the adults made a good choice about their eternity.
If you believe in god, that’s great. But all this “I hope they made a good choice about their eternity” is just bible thumping nonsense. Stop trying to push your agenda in here.

I love this part, Ben McLemore was literally On his way out of the nba . Now he’s a integral part of the Houston rockets

As he walked into Mamba Academy one morning last spring, he ran into Bryant. "What are you doing here?" Bryant asked, shocked to learn McLemore was out of the league, both recalled. "Stay ready," Bryant told him. "Your time is gonna come."

"Just him saying that built my confidence," McLemore said.

I was writing about Ben McLemore's tortuous journey, and McLemore had a Kobe story.

McLemore worked out at Mamba Sports Academy last spring while he was out of the league. As he walked in one morning, he ran into Bryant, who offered words of encouragement: "Stay ready. Your time is gonna come."

Those words buoyed McLemore because they came from Bryant. I texted Kobe to ask whether he recalled the conversation.

I didn't know if he would respond; Bryant in retirement was protective of family and vacation time. But I suspected he would be happy ESPN was digging into the story of a journeyman.

"Yup," Bryant responded an hour later. "Glad to see him doing his thing."
