Planes at least wanna fly. You have a better chance gliding if the engine fails. Heli pilots are trained to auto rotate down but even then it's all prayers. Helis don't wanna fly. Source: I'm an aircraft mechanic of 15 years and I work on th-1 helis now

I told a friend at work and he responded with a big smile and said "Celebrities can die too right?" and laughed - but his jaw was quivering. I didn't even take that as a diss. No one knows how to react to this. We then talked about it.

Everyone wants to be great. Kobe had 40 years ahead of him. Rest in peace to his absolutely beautiful and angel of a daughter.

I too am turning all of this off today. I have to focus at work.

My condolences to all those who were way bigger fans of him then I was. I respected him as a man and human being.
