He was trash in the 2015 and 2016 Finals.
I agree with your point about Klay not being the primary guy, or shouldering that pressure. But that applies to Middleton in this case.He was trash in the 2015 and 2016 Finals.
2017 and 2018 Finals were lopsided matchups and Klay was nothing special in those series.
He was really good in the 2019 Finals before he got injured.
He has some great game 6 performances but plenty of series he wasn’t really shyt that I won’t list but you can go check that out on B-R. The Warriors could always win plenty of games in spite of him and he never gets blamed for shyt. Steph Curry catches all the blame for the 2016 Finals and to a lesser extent Draymond for getting suspended. But it was Klay and Barnes laying bricks. Kyrie also torched Thompson’s overrated defense.
I’m not sure how some arbitrary performances he had on a dynasty level team put him over Middleton. It’s not like the circumstances are the same. Klay wouldn’t win shyt on Milwaukee and wouldn’t even be viewed in the same light on any other team.
This is why you judge players based on their skill and what they produce. Milwaukee has a good chance of winning the title. Middleton already has closed out 3,4 games and put up numbers. What y’all gonna say then?
How does it apply to Middleton?I agree with your point about Klay not being the primary guy, or shouldering that pressure. But that applies to Middleton in this case.
Don't dismiss Klay's 2 way performances during multiple title runs as "arbitrary showings" though.
I think Klay’s job is wayyy simpler than Khris’s, so it’s kinda disingenuous to imply they have the same task or aren’t comparable. For years, Khris was their primary perimeter defender, initiated offense from the perimeter, and was their closer. While also being the only that could create for himself other than Giannis (at an elite level). Not to disparage what Klay does, but everything I described other than the defending part was what Steph and KD had to do, or Dray.
They’ve absorbed a ton of force too. All those bumps he initiated against 6’10 Simmons or 6’7 Matisse couldn’t have helpedThose ankle braces make your ankles weaker in the long run
and they ain’t good for your knees cuz when you land your knees absorbs all the impact
I’ve worn those lace up ankle braces and I don’t understand how you even roll your ankle in one of those
shyt damn near feels like you got a cast on
That actually makes it even more humiliating
Yall post the dumbest shyt. This team been playing with house money since the 1st round. This Hawks team is a 5TH SEED.
If they don’t win another game against this Bucks squad, they still overachieved more than any team in the NBA the 5 years at least.
Lol y’all really want it both ways smhYall post the dumbest shyt. This team been playing with house money since the 1st round. This Hawks team is a 5TH SEED.

Ehhhh beating Philly and whatever they win against Milwaukee is an overachievement. Everything else from the regular season to the first round against the Knicks was the expectations considering the hype for that team coming into the season with the pieces that they signed. A first round exit for that team would have been a disappointment with all of the money they had spent in the offseason. The coaching change actually put them on track for what the expectations were going into the season.
Saying they've overachievement more than any other team in the past 5 years is a stretch considering that Phoenix has been a lottery team for years just as Atlanta was and are now one win away from the Finals.
And before you bring up Phoenix's "luck" of injuries, the Clippers beat the #1 seed in the league without Peg Leg and Denver (who Phoenix beat) beat a healthy Portland team with their best players playing.
Lol y’all really want it both ways smh
listen you don’t gotta convince me that y’all don’t belong in the conference finals but I couldn’t tell by the way y’all was talking just a few days ago
The Suns adding Chris Paul set different expectations on that team.
We spent money of FAs but no one was talking about the Hawks. We had one national TV game scheduled at the beginning of this season and our best player was snubbed an All Star selection in his own city.
He set different expectations but people would be lying if they said that they thought that the Suns would be one win away from the finals. With all of the bread y'all spent in the offseason, anything less than a first round win and a 4th-5th seed would have been a failure. That's exactly why Pierce was replaced in the first place.
This team has played championship level ball in the playoffs but yall acting like this team was a contender all season. This is a young team that balled out the 2nd half of the season with Nate and turned up in the playoffs unlike anything we’ve seen previously.
