Knicks should have kept David Lee.

So you still stand by your words that Kidd is Better than Jack?

Hell yeah I stand by what I wrote at THAT POINT in the season. Kidd's impact was far greater that what was shown on the stat sheet. Now as the season has progressed, Kidd's age has caught up to him and he's regressed and Jack has continued having a real good season. But Kidd's presence alone has us playing the smartest offensive basketball we've played in years. So yeah in terms of impact one the team, which is what I was talking about in that post, Jack wasn't better than Kidd.

Real talk I actually like the Warriors. I've rooted for them since Spree was there. It's always good to see a franchise come from the bottom and turn it around. That being said, YOU are coming close to making me root against these guys. Your homerism is real annoying. Instead of focusing on your team falling in the standings and looking at a likely first round exit, you're here worried about whether Jack was better than Kidd months ago and if the Knicks should've kept Lee. Get the Knicks off your mind and go post in your season thread.

I didn't start this thread. I'm responding to responses I've received. The Knicks ain't on my mind at all. Picture me caring about the least entertaining team in the league. They're a walking AARP ad :laff:

You'd have the guy leading the league in 20 and 10's. A lot better than what you ended up with :dead:

The answer is no. We wouldn't be better than the Heat with Lee.

This argument is silly because everyone is taking the "he's hurt" tack. Of course we'd rather have a healthy david lee than an injured Amar'e. It's revisionism.

Amare's signing helped get the Knicks franchise going again. It brought Melo, which got us Chandler.

And the truth is: even with the fire extinguisher and the knee debridement - he's been really good for the knicks. He was one of the most efficient post players in the NBA right before this recent procedure.

David Lee isn't an asset you can build around, he doesn't do anything that you can even build an offensive set around, let alone a team.

I liked him when he was here, I always wish him well - but David Lee is a stat-padder who's statistics far outsize his impact on the game.

Yeah you didn't start it, but you damn sure have the most post in here. So you continue to up this thread, quote logical statements made months ago about which teams back up points were more impactful, continue to harp on the Knicks letting Lee go, yet the Knicks aren't on your mind?

And Amare is? Y'all pay Amare 20 mill per season and he can't even play with your best player for extended minutes :sadcam:

Actually, while he was playing - the lineups with them on the floor together were the knicks most successful. And the Melo/Stat pick and roll had become the knicks most efficient play per possession aside from the swing/kickout novak 3. for obvious reasons.

And he'd been added into their crunch time lineup with Tyson/Melo, which set off a run of wins.

We all know he's hurt. There's no new information there. But if you're going to talk about him playing, please just have watched him play.

If not, I'm good with your opinion on how he was playing.

Because it worked well for us when he was doing it in 09 :comeon:

Amar'e made NY relevant again by his name alone. Without him, I really doubt Melo agrees to come to NY.

I'm tired of hearing this shyt. Y'all talk like Lee was surrounded by talent. Who was the best center Lee ever played with in NY? Eddy fukking Curry. You don't surround somebody with trash and wonder why the never made the playoffs. When Lee reached his Apex as a Knick they were in tank mode tryna shed salary for Lebron and a Co-Star.
