Lakers didn't want him
Pelicans don't want him

There's a reason why. Dude will get buckets but he's giving everything right back. He's also very high usage and wants to drive every possession, dude has blinders on.
Did the Pelicans not want him, or did they just draft a superhero version of him instead?

I'll take him on the Knicks, and think he can be a great piece with the right mix of talent. Hopefully the usage issue is something that can be worked on.

kept tabs on him as a laker fan and would browse the pelicans forum and they were legit disgusted by his defense. some dudes liked him but others were completely off of him no matter what the price was going to be. he's one of those dudes that look great on the highlights and box scores and then he's on your team and it's :scust: but the last 2 years he's been playing for a contract so that could be the reason why.

If you had to chose between him and Marcus Morris who would you pick?

For the Knicks? Whomever accepts the shortest commitment years-wise.

The Knicks are gonna sign some guys. They're not gonna run the kids out there and win 25 games next year, mostly being unwatchable. Not gonna happen. As long as they don't lock themselves into awful contracts and maintain payroll flexibility it's fine

Dude was on a 1+1 at 8 mil per year trying to get grossly overpaid in FA this season.. This was never about wanting to be in New Orleans. It was about turning his career around for a payday after hitting rock bottom in FA last year..

If the team is trying to win, easily Morris.

If you just look at box scores, Randle will seem awesome. You'll see 24/13 with a few assists sprinkled in and think he killed it. Then you watch the games and see he gives zero effort on defense and you'll see why he's great for tanking teams. Like a bigger Ricky Davis right now.

He has the ability to be good defensively but he's saved all his energy for offense since he's been in the league. Once in a while he'll lock in for short stretches and it'll frustrate the hell out of you because he doesn't care enough to do it on the regular.

The Knicks won 17 games last year and it's been 5 years since they finished with more than 35 wins. They've got a serious, serious talent gap that needs to be addressed before you concern yourself with building a championship roster.

They need more people on the team that are good at basketball, period.

I agree, but Randle's MO has been caring about himself and his touches over everything else. If NY wants this to be Barrett's team and give him every opportunity to grow, Randle will get in the way of that.
