The Knicks are gonna sign some guys. They're not gonna run the kids out there and win 25 games next year, mostly being unwatchable. Not gonna happen. As long as they don't lock themselves into awful contracts and maintain payroll flexibility it's fine

Julius Randle.
To me he is a super 6th man PF/C. Give him 25 mins, he can get you 20 and 10.
He can play net neutral defense when he wants.
If the team is trying to win, easily Morris.
If you just look at box scores, Randle will seem awesome. You'll see 24/13 with a few assists sprinkled in and think he killed it. Then you watch the games and see he gives zero effort on defense and you'll see why he's great for tanking teams. Like a bigger Ricky Davis right now.
He has the ability to be good defensively but he's saved all his energy for offense since he's been in the league. Once in a while he'll lock in for short stretches and it'll frustrate the hell out of you because he doesn't care enough to do it on the regular.
The Knicks won 17 games last year and it's been 5 years since they finished with more than 35 wins. They've got a serious, serious talent gap that needs to be addressed before you concern yourself with building a championship roster.
They need more people on the team that are good at basketball, period.
I agree, but Randle's MO has been caring about himself and his touches over everything else. If NY wants this to be Barrett's team and give him every opportunity to grow, Randle will get in the way of that.

As long as Randle has a reasonable salary he'd actually be a smart pick up. The Knicks will have a big who can score in the paint, has developed a jump shot and can grab some boards and he's 24 with upside. This actually makes too much sense as long as you don't MAX him.
