I'm so happy, I'm so happy. Last night was really beautiful, man. Like, I'm going to enjoy this shyt for the next few days. And, even cooler, by the time I get over this game, we play again :russ:
Last night was not beautiful. shyt was fukking infuriating. I didn't realize till after the game that Zeke didn't have any reps in pads because he missed spring and scrimmage.

It was basically his first time playing in pads since the title game. So my question is: who the fukk put him on punt returns? This type of experimentation is what pisses me off about urban.

I'm happy for Braxton, but everybody especially the d needs a lot of work. We are so fortunate to have such much talent on offense it's ridiculous.

Dontre n Jalin were out thats why he was returning punts. Urban tries to limit the wear n tear on guys who have a lot of reps to keep them fresh.

Nah, Braxton or Thomas would've been better suited. Zeke was hella rusty.

Everybody has to have perspective.

That wasn't even the full Ohio State team last night, We were missing HELLA starters. Zeke shouldn't have been back there returning punts but Dontre and Jalin was suspended and they were not gonna put braxton back there so early.

And of course the biggest piece we were missing was Joey Bosa who is arguably the best Defensive player in the country.

I don't expect us to be a fully formed machine till atleast mid season.

Good win, but that wasn't even our real team.

I don't think anybody had a lot of reps or experience at returning punts besides Jalin and Dontre. That's two players we have used exclusively to return punts the past two years, and both were out for this game. Nothing to worry about moving forward because both will play (barring injury) from here on out.

Defense wasn't bad, played great against the run. It was just the breakdown on that one deep pass I didn't like. I give some credit to Va Tech for a good play on the long TD to the FB, even if we still could have made the tackle to prevent the TD.

I really want MSU to beat Oregon so they stay on top when we play them in November.

What yall think bout the QB choice? I know you can't lose either way, but I think the O could be more explosive with JT at helm.

Urb's explanation for why he went with Dale makes sense and kind of is along the lines of what people who thought Dale should start said. Dale was able to make some throws and plays against Va Tech better than JT. Not only that, but Urb talked about how we won the championship games with Dale at QB. People just took that lightly for reasons I still don't understand. JT dominated Cincy and Maryland and Rutgers and MSU. Dale dominated Wisky, Bama, and Oregon. Just makes sense to go with the player that has a higher ceiling for this game.

But reading between the lines, I think Urb felt this way just for this game against Va Tech's defense. I could see JT starting against Hawaii and other teams. Urb may just play it week to week depending on who matches up better against the opposing team.
