Welp fellas good first game had a great start gotta limit our turnovers and mess ups like that botched return by zeke thats what kept Virginia tech in the game
Also gotta stop giving these one game players highlight tapes we made that FB of theres look like the second coming of Mike aslott
All of our freshman made a impact paris cambell played well in jalins role dixon looked good #8 on D played solid good open field tackling
Zeke had a great game might have not got as many touches but did the little things like block

Man I'm still hyped off that second half. That's the kind of championship pedigree we need. No panic on the road, just make plays and put it away. I really think Va Tech can win their division. If so, we're really gonna look back at how good of a win this was.
Only things of note, we really will need Jalin or Dontre to return punts for the season. Read some tweets that Brax had dropped some punts in warmups. They will be a welcome addition.
Also, could have run the ball all game with success if we wanted to. It was almost like they wanted to get Dale going. I did see a few times that Tech made sure to take out Zeke on every option play. They were not gonna let him get the ball unless it was a straight run.
Gotta clean up the turnovers. If we don't muff the punt and fumble at end of the game, could have been even uglier. Won't have a challenge until we play MSU now, so a lot of time to clean this up.

Yeah Zeke not getting the ball was just a product of Tech schemes. 8 carries last year, 11 this year. Its gonna be so many mismatches on the field when Dontre n Jalin get back. Feel bad for Hawaii saturday, Bosa gonna play angry. Mike Thomas is the real deal, got the best of the Fuller matchup

Yeah they clearly wanted to force Dale to run on every option. I thought we'd switch it up and run straight up more when that happened, but Dale got some good runs too.
When Corey, Jalin, and Dontre get added to the roster against Hawaii....
