Xavier broke it down in the most intelligent of ways. That whole "not black enough" issue is one of the most terrible experiences you can have as an educated black minority. To this day at my job I still recieve the whole "you are so articulate, good for you (which might as well be followed by ******)" "compliment" from white people. Its a nuanced discussion. There's some subversive stuff in the gimmick - because neither one of those dudes would be considered 'real nikkas' in any part of Afram culture just based on their personalities and stuff they enjoy. They don't play to those kind of conventional stereotypes.

the New Day gimmick is very on the nose much like Stephen Colbert. One might see it as intricate satire where as somebody else will take it at face value. It is a fine line that they can cross sides constantly but for the most part I think they do a good job in playing on internet troll culture and mocking WWF/E's way of showcasing black talent.

Now if he'd brought up the lack of world title reigns amongst blacks he'd have a point. But New Day as it is now is very c00nish. It's blatantly c00nish.
