i must say, it's refreshing to see an open primary where all candidates are encouraged to run

as opposed to 2016, when one candidate bought and paid for the nomination 8 years in advance, proven by the fact that the primary was closed to all other prominent democrats

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
I read or heard she was going to run her campaign out of Troy, which is 2 towns over from me. Anybody else hear that? She has a lot of cleaning up of her image to do, taking money from special interests, and past ties to NRA and gun lobbying (she has been working on that, though, I think she has an F now). Realistically, she doesnt have a chance in hell, but, it will be interesting to see this rumble. Don’t let Republicans tell you “this is going to burn the party down, good luck”, we have a lot of pretty good folks, with different good things they bring to the table. Once the field gets cut down, we will come with the heat, it will be hard fought, but the primaries will highlight who will rise, and why they will be the one. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM IS BETTER THAN TRUMP.

I love her position on postal banking... but other than that she's a weak candidate with questionable ties and history. So basically your typical Tri-state politician.:youngsabo:

She and Harris are in the same lane. However, Kamala does all of the superficial things better and her record in Congress looks less politically expedient, which is really saying something.

Pass

Oh yeah and she turncoat on Franken.
If Franken kept his hands to himself, then he'd still be a Senator. There were several other women who came out with allegations after the initial one (which looked like a political hit). Gillibrand is seen as a champion on the issue of sexual harassment, so her posture makes complete sense.

Moreover, if Franken had balls he would have told her to fall back and let the investigation conclude. Instead, he chose to resign before that happened. Franken's demise is his own fault and Gillibrand should get less hate for it.
