Naw that offer was low ball as hell. He is already getting the 24 mill on the franchise tag REGARDLESS so the 53 mill they offered really was only a one year deal. If he doesn't sign which I would have done if they tag him next year it would be 34 mill for a season.

So he has all the leverage pay me long term like Luck/Carr or tag me and pay me 80mill on three franchise tags for the last three years Or let me walk and I go to the 49ers and they will pay me 70 mill. Boy played his hand smart as hell

It's not that bad, basically you have a two year trial for him and if you think he's not the guy for the future you're not stuck with him longterm. It's what the Texans did with Brock Osweiler.
