You dap fishing

andrew wiggins,Nicholas batum, otto porter, allen crabbe, aaron gordon all get paid equal or more than lavine and never made an all star team

wiggins got 148 million and he's trash , batum got 125 , porter 105

And none of them are worth it

And for some reason, cats were on Otto Porter's nuts HEAVY last summer. I think Lavine (and Aaron Gordon) has the best potential out of all of them to become an all-star caliber player.

He shot really well his contract year and that’s back when thecoli and the internet eas 3&D insane

we cant keep "tanking" and adding 7th and 8th picks. that is the quickest way to lock into a roster that is treadmill

if we not going top 3 in the draft, dont do it at all. just compete. we can still have over 50 mill in space next year, enough for 1 max and some role players. let them compete, maybe get into the playoffs and showcase the roster we have to entice free agents.
Well maybe if you didn’t resign non star caliber players like Mirotic and actaully let your tank unfold properly you wouldnt have this problem ....

The biggest issue with this move is the potential opportunity cost... now you are locked in essentially to Zach being your 2 guard of the future and if he doesn’t work out or doesn’t take that next step you've probably removed yourself from being bad enough to bottom out and get yourself a truly franchise changing player ...you’ve also tied up 3-4 years not looking at getting someone at that SG spot ...

I just want this team to pick a direction and stick to it... this is another half measure move to me Tanking teams don’t give out big money contracts to players unless they are SURE that they have star potential and star potential players usually don’t get forced by their home team to find restricted free agent offers from other teams

Bulls front office has been terrible my whole life. From underpaying Pippen to breaking up the Jordan Bulls too early. Now they are paying the poor mans light skin Andrew Wiggins 20 mil a year.

:francis:
That was a whole different front office and they literally told pippen to wait for the cap increase but he wouldnt listen. I agree with you about breaking up the bulls they had probably one more ring left in them and maybe we could have got a Jordan Kobe finals in 2000 smh.

They already have Fox, Hield, Bogdan, Temple and other guards.

Not that Lavine isn't better than them but just seems like a weird place to spend more on

Lavine is better and illustrated an actual upside as well as being better before injury.

Kid comes back every year better and better.
Hard worker and hopefully he gets back to where he was previously before injury and lack of vision from his past two stops.

I dont have a problem with the Kings being aggressive with this offer but they are pursuing Jabari too and I think its a bad move to sign both him and Lavine. you are going to use up space and the team isnt going to be much better with those two. Why sign TWO bad defenders.....along with Bag who is going to struggle horribly on defense his first couple of years?

To sign both is an incredible gamble.
Given both players have knee issues and need to illustrate they can ramp beyond the player they were before injury.
imo, for the kings this is good and shows brash innovative initiative. Where it looks like they understand the mistakes they make in scheme and team social chemistry, generally.
That usually leads to their toxic culture and resulting play. This year I felt was good for them and with these two moves. They seem to want to get it right. When typically for the past bit. They have done it all wrong.
This is a wrong move on paper given players history of knee Injuries. Yet I feel a good aggressive move for the kings given their recent history.
It shows real good attention to detail and scouting, imo.
Especially given this is the kings.

What I hate most is what this means for Zach's ego...

Bulls FO: Hey Zach... how bout playing some defense?!
Zach: Defense? defense didn't get this 20M a year FOH...:hhh:

Bulls FO: Hey Zach...Lauri is gonna be the focal point of the offense so defer to him whenever

Zach: :what:... Did you see me dunk?... I got 20M per year that says I'm the number 1 option.. I'm KOBE 2.0 nikka.. .FOH :picard:

This is the pill that can finally get our FO fired if it doesn't work...And for that...I'm grateful. Our FO phony anyway.

When has Lavine averaged 25/5/5 in a season while being the only offensive option on his team?

I see why you are the WOAT in this section.

Matter of fact I'm putting this ignorance as my sig.

Zach Lavine has never been on the worst team in the NBA and been fed touches like crazy to put up empty stats. Last time he was healthy, he was the 3rd option on the T-Wolves. Put a healthy Zach Lavine in Devin Booker's shoes and he puts up even better numbers with far better team success.

I judge players based on their skill and ability NOT stats. Why? Because stats are as much a product of your CIRCUMSTANCE as it is your ability. Devin Booker's circumstance has allowed him to put up those empty stats. His ability is not superior to a healthy Zach Lavine.

Zach Lavine >>> Devin Booker (based on skill and ability)
