It's Square Enix. They love announcing games more than actually making them.
Don't forget they have an Avengers game in the works. Wouldn't be shocked if Disney told them to focus on that instead

Yall are misunderstanding the statement.

Matsuda is referring to the future lineup beyond this year, including the Marvel titles . They will be released within the next 3 years or so to show that they will all be released pretty soon. None of these games were releasing in FY2017, which we already knew.

Obviously SE announced KH3 and FFVIIR way too early but I think at least KH3 will release next year. Idk about VIIR.

Yall are taking this WAY out of context. The topic needs to be changed. Remove that 2020 date.

They are saying that ALL of their high profile games are due for release within the next 3 years. This includes KH3/FF7R and the Avengers game.

It DOESN'T mean it will take 3 years for KH3. KH3 has been in dev longer then the other 2 games and there are credible rumors saying the game will get a 2018 reveal at E3. It 100% will be the first of these games to be released.

Gonna put it out there now. When Sora da gawd shuts down E3 dont come running back to this thread Its about time we get a story trailer and a release year. All of KH story trailers have been amazing.
