Most brehs don't really 'game' if you ask me, I'm being serious. We don't go to school for game design. It's actually taboo to game as black men because it's seen as weak and lame and won't get you points with black women. Sure brehs discussed games in highschool, but most you will see is NBA 2k, Madden, and maybe a fighting game here and there.

When you look at it from that point of view, it's why black game developers are pretty damn small. Whites and Asians outnumber us by far.

As for an AAA Game with an African setting, that would be innovative as hell, but we wouldn't have the resources to pull together an all black dev team. Best case scenario you get a Black lead designer like Mike Pondsmith with Cyberpunk 2077 who is the helm of making that game based in Ghana, SA, Nigeria, etc.

That is not the fukking point. All he had to say was we are making a medieval European game and for the place and time there would be very few if any Africans in the country. He was not getting thousands of messages from black people about it, but an extremely few amount of messages from a handful of people. But no, he goes on a tirade about it and continues over the years to go on a "Anti Woke/DEI" dummy mission, which he is now getting smoke from the same people in that camp.

I was speaking more of 1st/3rd person open-world games with African historical figures. Point me to the black KCDs, Stalkers, GoTs, etc. Zau literally looks like they put a black skin on Ori. I mean I just copped it, may play it on the train or something. I want some risque shyt, like the protagonist is an African villager whose family got kidnapped by a rival tribe, and he's on a crusade to rescue them; along the way he teams up with other villages who've all been raided by the antagonist; they ultimately build their own empire.

But like Ezekiel said, black 'gamers' are few and far between, so the support is going to be paltry. Forcing white devs to include BP in their games out of place is basically tanking their sales.

To keep it real with you, I never liked platform games. Can't think of the last one I bought, if I ever bought one at all. I should have supported this though, I'll keep my eyes open for anymore black games in the future.
