Relevant bump, different Chicago guy, on a different platform, fast forward to 4:00 if it doesn't catch timestamp:
Swipa says "Durk was scared of Von, Durk ain't got the streets, Durk paid for friends, Von got the real members"...
Then at 7:30 or so, Vlad ask Swipa point blank, "what was Durk's criminal history before rap"?
And Swipa says Durk was around, would rob people and "do shyt", but his specific quote: "far as like a killer and all that? Nah man, it was just people around him"...

Last thing I'll say is, killers aren't afraid of other killers, shooters aren't afraid of shooters, and those of us who ran that lane can tell if you're one of us, I don't know how many times I've told people that I know guys who have killed people and that ain't them, they not really killers...
If a guy who used to run in that lane, has the perception that someone else ain't built for it, especially if you in or from the same general area the guy is from, you're probably right...
Like I said before, there are plenty of posts, accounts, people online, that have said for years, what Swipa and Yella are saying now. That pre-celebrity, Durk is from his side and was "around" but he wasn't no killer and wasn't the figure outside, that his rap persona suggests he is...
