The problem is, no one checks out projects from ppl that spit like this. This type of rapping is better suited for the On the Radar, LA Leakers, Sway in the Mornings, Funk Flex type platforms

I use to check out Los albums back in the day and he had a few big name features at the time too but even with those and Puff's backing, where he is now is where he was then

I saw Joyner Lucas call out Meek Mill to a URL battle, I think Los is a better matchup cuz they both pretty much have the same pros, cons and skillsets

Eminem and Tech N9ne managed to do it but Idk why the super lyrical rappers struggle to draw attention to their projects outside of their freestyles

Great post

I think it’s similar to battle rappers where they seem to always still be in battle rap mode even on songs

Flow, cadence etc just doesn’t hit the same. Some just flat out suck at making songs.

Yeah the bars be there but they always lack in other areas

Los actually sounded good making commercial songs. He should be at almost a level of a Big Sean I’m not sure why he never connected.. similar voice and personality… both wifed up another artist, etc

Em did it by creating a persona/alter ego and creating a whole world around it. Not familiar with Tech's music like that but i suspect he created a sort of world/movement/vibe that people got invested in.

Even Kendrick did the same to some extent.

I listened to one of Los' projects back in the days. Yes he was spitting. Hell the songs were decent to good from what i remember. It's just that I didn't feel he created a world or a vibe for us to latch on to. I don't know how to explain it. It's like you have to sell some sort of narrative to create a core fanbase.
