you sir are an idiot. this whole thing came about because dream hampton was answering a question about jay-z.

You really believe Dream Hamilton decided to throw her entire career in the bushes for Jay? After how she did BIG I wouldn't put it past her to throw ghostwriting claims at Jay if the story keeps going.

Ghostwriters are part of rap as a business. Deal with it.

i saw an nore interview where he said he, nas, jungle, and one of nore's mans was in the studio for 2 hours and couldn't come up with anything, until jungle started saying there's a body in the trunk, and they rolled with that concept.

when nas was making "film" with c-sick, the singing hook was already laid with the title of the beat, and nas rolled with concept. and in the video you can see nas asking him"which should i go with, what sounds better".

Jay Electronica Defends Nas After Ghostwriting Accusations

As allegations spread that Nas used fellow Queens rapper Jay Electronica as a ghostwriter on his controversial 2008 album Untitled, Elec has weighed-in on the controversy, denying the claims and defending one of his biggest influences.

Electronica took to Twitter to defend Nas and claimed that he has never used a ghostwriter. "Nas is one of the Greatest Ever. never has and never will need a ghostwriter. that man's pen and legacy is without question," he wrote.

This refutes claims from veteran hip-hop journalist and writer Dream Hampton who claimed that she had heard at least six reference tapes for tracks that later appeared on Untitled as Nas compositions. Nas, for his part, denied ever using a ghostwriter in an interview this week.

Fellow writer Frank William Miller Jr. also recounted his conversations where Jay Electronica openly claimed he was writing for Nas around the time Untitled was recorded. Electronica did not specifically address those assertions in his tweet.

Nas was also backed-up by stic.man of Dead Prez, who was also linked to ghostwriting Untitled by Dream Hampton. In a Facebook post, he said they indeed collaborated on the record, but it was all under Nas' direction. "My contributions to his album was a collaboration and an honor and under his direction of what he wanted to convey and say," Stic wrote.

Ghostwriters are part of rap as a business. Deal with it.

the fukk? you said nas fans bringing up jay-z shows their obsession with jay-z. i pointed out to you that dream hamptons original comment was actually made in response to a question about jay-z being socially concious. thats the connection. obviously jay-z's name was in this conversation from the start.

as far as her motivation, i really dont know why she said what she said. it seemed like it was kinda out of nowhere. maybe she was initially just exagerating her opinion and didn't expect it to blow up like it did. i dont think she really thought her integrity was going to be called into question when she first commented.

but once she claimed that she heard 6 reference tracks, thats when she stepped out of just poppin shyt on twitter and into actually making a very serious claim about an artist who's work revolves around writing. and bringing other artist into it who she is personally friends with, and are in similar agianst the system "revolutionary" type circles, she probably expected them to have her back. so when they refuted her claims and she refuses to say that she was wrong, she is essentially calling stic.man, jay electronica, nas, and no ID liars.

the fact that she pointed out that she is not a journalist leads me believe that she has no interest verifying her claim. i think she is smart enough to know the effects of what she said and knows that she has no way to prove it, but instead of swallowing her pride she flipped it onto some "hip-hop boys club attacking a woman" thing. she basically dug her self into a hole and refused to get out when it was still only small. if her integrity is in question its her own doing.

and the whole lupe writing for jay-z shyt is just as stupid. it was stupid then it is stupid now.
