Yeah he did, I believe I got around 75 seperate tracks by him, made in the period 2004-2012. Average 9 tracks a year. Actually not that bad . Very little of these tracks were actually released by Elect himself I believe, though.
the priest has over 1,000 tracks. his discography is a bible in itself
i feel they are similar, and Elec is a Sunz of Man fan so im not sure why Wu fans feel the need to bash Jay when hes paying homage + adding his own flavor. the whole argument annoys me and it prolly cost Priest some sales because cats like to OD over supposed sublim disses
Jay Elec is cool, i mean i enjoy his music too, but if you honestly cant hear how much he sounds like KP you need to check your ears. And it aint just about him being a Wu fan or them both being up on 5 percent lessons, alot of Wu is 5 percent but they dont all drop that spiritual-metaphysical-scientific-esoteric-conspiracy theory-street shyt. Thats very specifically Killah Priests style right there and Jay Elect does the exact same shyt. It doesn't help that they also got very similar vocals.
Like I said, I like Jay Elec, he got some incredible songs, but he doesn't have an entire project fukking with this right here. At least not yet. If he ever drops that album we can really see what he capable of but as it stands all we have is glimpses. Meanwhile Killah Priest been doing this 15 years and just dropped a classic. Yes im calling it a classic, I haven't been this blown away by and album in a looooooooooooooong time. I dont even think they got beef like that, I mean I heard a few jabs on the album but I think that was just on some hip-hop shyt
it is a classic. not sure if I was the first to say it in here but it don't matter, these 2 discs are flying saucers. if you toss them across a room they boomerang back in to case.
also if you use an old aiwa cd stereo there is a faint image of a hologram once the laser touches the disc.
just cause ur a lame who cant keep up with modern rap doesnt mean shyt other than your opinion being irrelevant. fukk outta here with your 'real hiphop' cac bullshyt
I was bumpin Heavy Mental at 13 years old u fakkit
cacs didn't invent the term "real hiphop" and it isn't exclusive to whites. please next time you consume marijuana make sure you read a book as well.
I hated this nikka when I was young and I still cant get into his shyt.
I rather J Elect.... This nikka man
my ngga you must have been drinking distilled poland spring for the last few years. switch to spring water poland spring. the one delivered to the house is distilled too.
that water takes minerals out your body increasing your PH. you don't need alkaline levels looking like the acidpool in mortal kombat 2.
wait a min..was mc metaphy also known as che guavera on sohh?
negative sir.
when Priest drops in Ghost Dog (motion picture)..better than most music vids.
he is in ghost dog, huh? where at?
I just seen MC Dead n Stinkin and he kicked some real ILL bars for me. he never lost a step. he is the guy rhymin in the park bench scene.
One of my favorite songs on the album. There are so many though, more than enough to listen to on the train to work in the morning.
the new york subway system has become my own niburu traveling tube.
He also shouted Scotty Watty. THAT was the real highlight to me.
same here, I was really pleased by that.
Please, enlighten me... Who is he? Really dont know
soctty wotty copper tipped me? I always wondered what jux or rhyme he spit that made ghost say that on the intro.
Kallisto is gonna send me the original version of 'salute' for y'all. Apparently there's an entire string section that the engineer accidentally muted the track of in the mix.
They should have chosen Killah Priest as the new pope
I hotboxed my boys van and when we stepped out the smoke was coming out the top and I said "look, white smoke from the top, they chose a new pope, its walter reed.."
I had 3 nggaz in the van blazing and listening to the album and all three of them started glowing an orange hue.
This album is still going strong . I feel like its opened something up inside of me .
Thanks alot to everyone that posted those books as well . I knew about Pale Horse, but it looks like there's a whole slew of interesting stuff out there I wasn't privy to .
It's funny I was looking into his affiliation with the Black Israelites , and in reading about the 12 tribes of Israel I realized my surname derived from one of those tribes . Something I never knew.
Such a weird revelation during a time I'm enjoying this album to the fullest. Thanks Killah Priest . Here's to the Winged people coming back to earth and showing us a thing or two .
here's to you learning more about the universe. "knowledge of self" applies to all.
I just discovered my first name is the same as one of the goat popes
I feel what you're saying though, I listen to it early in the morning on my way to work to find focus in all the madness.
the same thing I said to tirade applies to you as well.
you with the supergods now
I'm also giving this a lot of spin driving to work in the morning .
It's my new breakfast.
this has been my routine since I downloaded it
Who needs breakfast, when this album is like food for the mind
yes this is brain food. it is a revelation everytime I hear it.
