I remember the pre smartphone era........ and a nikka had to have a mental rolodex of numbers for every chick, partner, auntie, uncle, cousin, corner store, church, Video Express, Turtles, Lil Caesar's, Rim Shop, Mama Work Phone, etc, stored in his\her head.....


No such thing as stored contacts...........

I had this little machine that you could store contacts on. You would hold it up to the phone and it would play the dial tone of the number you needed to dial. Didn't have to remember shyt.

There could be 30 minutes of silence and if you said something she'd pick up the convo like it's nothing. I'm having specific memories of one girl who I hadn't talk to for like 2 or 3 years and then I saw her best friend and gave her my number and told her to give it to her to call me. She called me that damn night. With her I could just pick up the phone and pick up the game at the same time and just say "uh huh" and "forreal" every few minutes if I actually got lost.

Last time I spoke to her was a couple years after that and I let my young thirsty get the best of me and I'm ashamed as hell of that.


As much as I hate talking on the phone, I hate texting more. Nobody feels real to me through text and feel like completely different people. Like I barely text my family because of this. I'd rather call them.

Women are still like this mainly younger women. My girl is like this and she's 22 and I'm 32 Talking on the phone for hours literally about nothing then she wants to Tango .

I remember when we first got the internet in 1998 with dial up and my mom yelling at me to "stop talking to those young bytches so I can use the computer(internet)."

When she didn't have her own landline and had to speak to her father who had a problem with you or when you call and her hating ass sister would lie and say she wasn't home.

Bringing back memories and with Kobe playing his last game tonight I feel right now.
