One of my fondest memories of the 80s was when me and my family visited my aunt in the Bronx in 1989. I was 5. Do The Right Thing had just came out and there was a poster for it on the street of my aunt's apartment building. We were driving in a Mazda minivan. As soon as we park outside her building, I swear to god five or six crackheads come up to our van and start swarming it like zombies. I remember stepping on glass vials of crack not even knowing what they were...

If you were born in the 90's then your childhood is really in the 2000's. At best your were in kindergarten when PAC died. At worst you were 2 during 9/11. 50cent and lil Wayne were running hip-hop during your adolescence.

Kids born in the 90s and 00s have the most ignorant view of 9/11 ever. They the ones that make unfunny jokes and memes about the twin towers bulding on fire.

That shyt was MAD tragic and traumatic for those of us that were old enough to remember. I was 17. My cousin worked on the 81st floor of tower one. She didn't make it to work that day. There are many people in my family who must don't even like talking about it...me included. Still kind of hurts to think about that day. They say "never forget", sometimes I wish I could...
