Foles, Clements and Sproles should be on the trading block. Jim Schwartz should be in the hot seat. We should be looking for another defensive coordinator.

I don't think there is a market for any of them straight up. They would have to be part of a package.. more of a sweetener. I don't blame Howie for keeping Nick but it seems like we will end up being on the losing end with the decision.

I don't think he was trying to win that situation exactly. Before the Browns made the Tyrod trade they offered that pick for Foles (3rd round #65 overall), Howie went to Nick and Nick said he really wasn't interested in going there. Howie respected his wishes and turned down the offer.

If Foles signs a contract for more than $10m in the offseason we get a 3rd round comp pick, so it's a win-win regardless.

Eagles are in a tricky spot- they really believe in Mialata ( I hope he is the real deal) so I cant see them taking a tackle in round 1. I see them going with DT or DE in round 1. I can see them targeting a OT in round 2 or 3. Everyone is hyped on Littles from Ol Miss..I havent watched any of their games - I just read about him. I like this non power 5 LT named Max Scharping, 6' 6, 330- good feet and graded one of the best pass protectors in CF- he held his own against better schools to. He will test fine and be a 2/3rd round pick..If we can get him in the 3rd- thats a win. If Mialata is good..you can draft Max and kick him inside to LG.

Had to drop that into the main thread.

So, I'm guessing you aren't big on OG as a first round position? I'm assuming we will somehow make the playoffs and draft in the 20s somewhere. Given that position, I don't mind getting a long term starter for the LG position if Wis is really not being felt by the coaches and Isaac is halfway trash. Hopefully its not a Danny Watkins situation.

I do think DE is a good look too, but late 1st round DE's have too much of a chance to be reaches for us. Jon Harris, McDougle (15th but still), Marcus Smith... shyt just gives me PSTD.

Are there any standout safeties that could be mid to late first rounders? My interest really is at that position and LG.

Oh it was only a 3rd? Damn I kept reading it was a second. Well in that case, I really ain't mad. Though, an extra 3rd would give Howie some room to get busy on the phones for trade ups.

I do have a general stand on certain positions being round 1 worthy (unless the guy grades as all world and HOF worthy) The problem with OG , most arent athletic enough for the blocking schemes Stoutland runs, which is why they take OT and kick them inside. Brooks was a special case because we REALLY needed a true OG and he happens to be very athletic for a 350lb guy.

The upcoming draft is the most talented defensive line draft in the last 20 years...there is NOWAY Howie doesnt come away with 2 defensive lineman in the first 2 rounds. I would keep an eye on Jeffrey Simmons...he is a less fat version of Fletcher Cox (even goes to Fletch alma mater) he may fall bc he beat on some girl when he was a senior in HS- he was defending his sister but its still a bad look for a 260+ lb guy to beat on a girl...his stock will fall ( he has been a model citizen in college and he is an academic all american)

there are a few decent safety options but noone that really stands out to me. The S from Alabama will get love but I dont know if I buy it

I just don't want to be in a situation where we are so stocked on the DL that we have to let a talent go, ala Steven Means.

Sweat is staying for sure. BG is 50/50 solely depending on contract demands. Bennett or Long is staying, not both. Barnett obviously is in the long term picture. Jernigan will be back. Ngata is outta here. Cox a lock.

All that said, can we really fit a high draft pick on the DL? I think we need some immediate impact this draft, no? Hell, given Mack10 status, we may need a WR too.

I concede that I know nothing about this draft class but this team is showing me that we need immediate shakeups.

There is no guarantee Jernigan will be back this year or next. There is no money left on his contract. The Eagles need another great DT, remember if you draft a 1st round guy - you have him for 5 years- in theory that guy may replace Fletcher Cox because I dont see Fletcher being on the team in 5 years- I think the eagles can get out of his deal in 2021.

I think Long is outta here...I actually wanna see Bennett come back- he has been good given his age and he is cheap. Regarding WR, the eagles need a guy with speed- I know there is a WR from Oklahoma- Hollywood something...I dont know where he is mocked tho. I am sure we will draft a WR - I just dont see it being in the first 2 rounds.

There are 15 Defensive lineman with 1st round grades- thats insane, which means other positions will get pushed into the 2nd and 3rd round. There will be an opportunity to draft a 2nd round guy in the 3rd round

redskins fukkin us over with these wins... their remaining cupcake schedule doesnt help either. meanwhile we still have the saints and rams on the radar. literally have no room for error at this point unless skins completely collapse. if they go 5-4 the rest of the way, i can easily see them winning the division at 10-6 unless we beat them twice and dont lose more than 2 remaining games :patrice:

then the fact we have all these injuries :patrice:

right now playoff wise we will move into the 9th spot after bucs take this L..if we are not able to win this division..we also have a slim chance to get a wild card spot at this point but we cannot lose too many more games
